Hood Jeans are a small family run British company, specializing in quality Motorcycle jeans and jackets. For many years we have been know for the quality of our Para-Aramid lined motorcycle jeans, during this time they have been considered by many as the best on the market. We have also managed to consistently beat our competitor’s price’. We are however one of the few companies still manufacturing jeans in Britain but can still achieve the above by only selling our products directly to our customers, thus cutting out the middle men. This does mean our jeans are not available in the shops but if they were the cost would have to be around £125.00.
Hood produces two types of motorcycle jeans, one is lined with a woven Para-Aramid and the other reinforced with panels of a knitted Para-Aramid.
The Original range includes the K7, ND4, H2, Army Green and Camo Jeans; these are all lined with woven Para-Aramid. The woven Para-Aramid is cheaper to produce then the knitted Para-Aramid however the woven Para-Aramid still gives excellent protection against abrasion. However the savings in cost does mean we can afford to include more Para-Aramid in the Original Range providing this range with a greater level of protection whilst still being able to sell it slightly cheaper then the knitted Para-Aramid reinforced Concept Six Jean. The tighter weave of the smooth woven Para-Aramid fabric does make it less breathable then the knit but the woven fabric does have a cool feel to it when worn. We believe the Original Range offers the best motorcycle jeans on the market today.
The Concept Six Jean is reinforced with a knitted Para-Aramid. This jean has panels of the expensive knitted Para-Aramid in the main crash points. The knit is very soft and is very breathable; and because it has less Para-Aramid inside it is also cooler. Some people like the soft feel of the knit, others are not so keen on its woolly texture. This type of hi-tech soft knitted Para-Aramid is used by other brands of motorcycle jeans; it does help to make the Concept Six a very comfortable motorcycle jean. For 2008 the Concept Six Jean is reinforced with an even softer and stronger Knitted Para-Aramid.
All our jeans are pre-shrunk and machine washable. Jeans are altered to your required leg length.
